Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Žužul and Chairman of the Crans Montana Forum Jean-Paul Carteron announced that a Crans Montana Forum will be held in Zagreb, 13 April 2005
Minister Žužul said that the Forum will include world and European leaders in the field of politics and economy. Minister Žužul, on behalf of the Croatian government, and Chairman Carteron, on behalf of the Crans Montana Forum, signed today in Zagreb the Agreement on holding the Zagreb Forum in April 2005, following the example of the distinguished forums in Crans Montana and Monaco. Carteron pointed out that representatives of governments, international organisations and companies who wish to co-operate with Croatia have already been notified informally.
Carteron said that Europe will have several gravity centres, and that one of them will be in Croatia. The pending Zagreb Forum will discuss the global and regional topic, as well as the possibilities of co-operation. The organising of a Croan Montana Forum in Zagreb and the possibility of opening a Forum’s regional centre in Zagreb were announced at Forum’s meeting in Switzerland, in June this year, at which Minister Žužul participated as well.
Chairman of the Crans Montana Forum Carteron said that Croatia should have already become an EU member, as its political and economic achievements, as well as the government’s maturity, have made it an example for other countries in the region.
