State Secretary at the Croatian MFA Gordan Bakota met in Zagreb with Taizo Watanabe, Commissioner General of EXPO 2005

State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gordan Bakota met in Zagreb with Taizo Watanabe, Commissioner General of EXPO 2005. Ambassador Watanabe is visiting Zagreb as a part of his tour around the countries participating at the world exposition EXPO 2005, to be held in Aichi, Japan

Ambassador Watanabe said that the project for the Croatian pavilion is impressive, as well as the theme “A drop of water, a pinch of salt”, that perfectly fits the main theme of EXPO 2005 – “Nature’s Wisdom”.

State Secretary Bakota informed Ambassador Watanabe about the importance of Croatia’s appearance at EXPO, adding that Croatia is doing its best to make the Croatian project one of the most well noticed.

Ambassador Watanabe pointed out the importance of cultural exchange and commended the co-operation between Croatia and the city of Hekinan, Croatia’s host during EXPO 2005, where a cultural program will be held as a part of the Croatian national day, for the purposes of presenting the Croatian culture and continuing with the friendly and cultural relations between Croatia and Japan.
