State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hido Biščević received chargé d’affaires at the Russian Embassy Vladislav Krasavin

Biščević asked Russian diplomat Krasavin to communicate to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov and the Russian government the solidarity and support extended by Croatian Prime minister Ivo Sanader and the Croatian government.

State Secretary Biščević said that the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers these events to be a part of the wave of internationally linked terrorism with the intention undermining the system and integrity, as well as the political and social stability of the Russian Federation. The radicalisation of terrorism that now includes attacks on children is a cause for special concern.

State Secretary Biščević pointed out that the Republic of Croatia supports the decision and conclusions of the UN Security Council.
