A diplomatic note was handed today afternoon at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the charge d’affaires of the Slovenian Embassy in Zagreb
The note draws attention of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to frequent breaches of the Croatian national sea border around Savudrija by Slovenia’s police boats, including obstructing Croatian fishermen’s activities in that part of the Croatian territorial sea.
The most recent breaches occurred 30 July and 2 August 2004 near Savudrija.
The Slovenian side was informed that Croatia remains adamant in its belief that all such issues should be solved in the European spirit, with the strengthening of mutual trust and atmosphere of god neighbourliness, and in accordance with the international law.
