Minister Picula met Mr. Gerald Ansbro, Ambassador of Ireland accredited to the Republic of Croatia...

On Friday, 30 May 2003, Mr. Gerald Ansbro, Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Slovenia, accredited to the Republic of Croatia, was received by Mr. Tonino Picula, the Croatian Foreign Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

The motive of talks was the forthcoming visit of the Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Račan and the Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula to Ireland on 13 June. The interlocutors used this meeting to agree on the topics to be discussed in Ireland. They reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and concluded that bilateral relations show an upward trend.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the forthcoming meeting and Minister Picula pointed out cultural similarity between the Croatian and Irish people.
