The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is the eleventh EU Member State to have ratified the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the EU (SAA).
On 3 June 2003, the House of Representatives of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg voted in favour of the law on accepting the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the EU, and on 18 July 2003 the Law was published in the Official Gazette Memorial.
As for the remaining four members of the EU, it is expected that the
parliamentary procedure will soon be completed in three more states:
Italy, Belgium and Finland. SAA will enter into force upon being ratified
by all Member States of the EU. In the meantime, trade and other relations
between Croatia and the EU have been regulated by the Provisional Agreement
implemented since 1 January 2002.
