In the talks, good relations between the two countries were emphasised, which are unfortunately not paralleled with adequate economic exchange. In an exhaustive exchange of views and experiences, the interlocutors mostly talked about multilateral issues, and notably on the entry of the Republic of Croatia to the Euro-Atlantic integration.
The Danish Secretary of State Petersen promised full support of Denmark to Croatia in joining the EU and NATO, and emphasised the importance of Croatia's cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. The cooperation in adjusting Croatian institutions to the EU and NATO standards was arranged, and Denmark will share its experiences in this field with the Republic of Croatia.
