On that occasion, Mr. Picula emphasised that the priority of the Croatian Government is economic growth and employment and that one of the measures in this sense is investing in professional education. He also pointed out that the Government is aware of the importance of investing in education and that equipping technical faculties with modern technology is foreseen, to be followed by investment in secondary education.
Mr. Picula was informed that a Technological Park has been founded with the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Varaždin, that it has the ISO 9001/2000 certificate and that the project of establishing Eco-school is underway as well.
“If we wish to join Europe and achieve a status we want, then our educational system is to be equal to the European one, so that we may be an equal partner in this community”, Minister Picula concluded.
