On October 16, 2018 was opened the 11th ITB Asia 2018 in Singapore with a record number of exhibitors, including the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Zagreb Tourist Board, and representatives of the travel agencies Swanky Travel and Atlantis Travel. The Croatian Stand was also visited by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Dražen Margeta.
The three-day conference and fair, held in Marina Bay Sands till October 19, 2018, with the central theme of Reinterpretation of the Trip. As part of this event, many leading experts from the industry have been introduced to the potential clients.
This year"s edition of ITB Asia can also boast of an enviable list of speakers. The first day began with representatives of Microsoft and Google, who gave insight into the changes that will affect the way we travel and do business, while representatives of Chinese giant Ctripa have spoken about the challenges facing the international travel market.
In addition, a large number of representatives of leading media and creative agencies from around the world, including BBC Global News, ESL Gaming and Twitter, participated in the fair. Most of the topics focused on innovations in tourism sector and how destinations could be better branded towards different groups of visitors.
The head of the Croatian National Tourist Board"s ITB stand in Singapore, Mrs. Franka Gulin, pointed out that representatives of tourist agencies, institutions and creative agencies specializing in outbound tourism from India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and the Middle East, showed the biggest interest in Croatia.
