Vice President of the Croatian Parliament Academician Željko Reiner received on September 26, 2017 Deputy Vice President of the Parliament of Indonesia, Mr. Taufik Kurniawan, with the delegation. The meeting was also attended by MPs Miro Kovac, Grozdana Paric, Joško Klisovic and Darko Horvat.
The talks highlighted excellence bilateral relations between Croatia and Indonesia without open issues and frequent visits by various parliamentary delegations of Indonesia to Croatia. The collocutors agreed that there is a room for relations to become even better through stimulating and improving economic co-operation.
The meeting was expressed with satisfaction with the good cooperation of the two chambers of commerce of the two countries, also mentioned cooperation between the University of Zagreb and Zadar, and private universities with the Indonesian Universities. Examples of Croatian companies already operating with Indonesia or present in this market are presented on the meeting and another areas that can link two states like forensics, information technology, energy, environmental protection and nature and tourism. The mutual desire for further intensive interparliamentary cooperation was emphasized, especially in the context of economic relations development.
