On June 4, 2015 the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway) jointly celebrated their national days in Jakarta. The celebration began at 7 am cycling from the main Jakarta’s monument Monas to hotel Shangri-La, where the reception was held. The Ambassadors of the Nordic countries are supporters of the idea of b2w (bike to work) and had this opportunity to promote the idea of using a bike in traffic in a city that is worldwide known for the worst traffic and unbearable traffic jams on roads. Together with the Heads of Missions of Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden, only Austrian and Croatian Ambassadors and Acting Ambassador of DEU joined the group of cyclists. Other Ambassadors from the diplomatic corps came directly to the reception, which started at 8 am.
