A delegation of the Croatian Federation of Municipalities, led by the Member of Parliament, President of the Federation and Jasenice Mayor Martin Baricevic, is visiting Israel.
During the visit, organized by the Croatian Embassy in Tel Aviv, the delegation visited the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel, where it met with Deputy Director General of the Federation, Ram Sidis, Head of the International Cooperation Office Shiri Steinardt Sela and Director of the Projects Department at the International collaboration by Anat Kaufman.
On this occasion the representatives of two Federations exchanged best practices and experiences in preparing and implementing legislation and managing local communities, and discussed the challenges encountered in their work. They stressed the importance of synergy of all actors engaged in improving the position of local communities, with the aim of effectively addressing the daily problems of communities.
President Baricevic invited the delegation of the Federation of Local Authorities of Israel to visit Croatia in early April and participate at the international conference "The Future and Perspective of Local Self-Government in a European Context", and agreed to continue cooperation directly and through the Croatian Embassy in Tel Aviv.
Also, President Baricevic and his associate visited the Croatian Embassy in Tel Aviv, where he met with Ambassador Vesela Mrden Korac and Embassy staff.
