The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, together with the Croatian sports stars in Israel, Giovanni Rosso and Nikola Vujcic, and in cooperation with the Croatian Eurovision Song Contest delegation, organized the "Days of Croatia", from 10 - 18 May 2019 in the City of Tel Aviv "Hashmonaim Country Club", which has become the Croatian House during this period. In addition to tourist promotional materials of the Croatian National Tourist Board, many members and visitors of the Club had the opportunity to try the Cedevita instant drink and candies. In honor of the Croatian guests, the manager of the Club was wearing a jersey of the Croatian national football team and the staff Cedevita’s promotional aprons.
At the opening ceremony, on 10 May, in the presence of many Israeli media, Ambassador Vesela Mrden Korac presented Roko Blaževic and the Croatian Eurovision team to Israeli hosts, who were thrilled by the performances. Roko’s, Jacques’ and Endi’s performances were recorded by many Israeli media, both state and private, and showed on their programs, including the main evening news of the state TV channel KAN 11 and KAN 13. The article was also published by the Ynet on Jacques" performance of the Hebrew song "Katonti".
A special attention of the Israeli audience and media was drawn to the attendance of Giovanni Rosso, the Croatian-Israeli football player and TV star, who also interviewed Roko for the KAN 11. Numerous citizens of Tel Aviv, representatives of government institutions, diplomatic corps and the City of Tel Aviv attended the opening ceremony, as well as the Eurovision representatives and national delegations of Slovenia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Albania and Malta.
Furthermore, during the "Days of Croatia", on 12 May, a football night with Giovanni Rosso, and, on 13 May, a basketball night with Nikola Vujcic, the Croatian-Israeli basketball star and Maccabi Tel Aviv"s sports director, were organized. All the events were exceptionally well accepted and triggered a series of positive articles in Israel about the beauties of Croatia.
Along with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the "Days of Croatia" have been supported by the Croatian National Tourist Board with the promotional materials, and Atlantic Grupa d.d. with the Cedevita products.
