In the organisation of the Centre of Organisations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel, in cooperation with the Yad Vashem and the Shalom Hartman Institute, a conference on shaping the memory of the Holocaust “Remembering Responsibly” was held on 20 and 21 February 2018 in Tel Aviv.
The conference was initiated by Colette Avital, Israeli politician and diplomat, former Knesset member (1999-2009), and now the Chairman of the Centre of Organisations of Holocaust Survivors in Israel.
The main issue that was addressed and discussed by the representatives of the Holocaust survivors organisations, international experts, researchers and professors dealing with the issues of Holocaust and Holocaust memory, was the future of memory, what is the message to be conveyed to future generations, which tools, means and approaches to use in shaping memories and remembrance.
At the invitation of Colette Avital, Tina Krce, Chargée d"Affaires a.i. of the Croatian Embassy, attended the conference.
