From 15 to 17 September 2017, the first qualifying round (group C) for the Water Polo Champions League 2017-2018 took place in Netayna in Israel, with the participation of the Water Polo Club „Mornar-Brodospas“ from Split. The players of Mornar defeated all three opponents, Galatasaray from Turkey, Glyfada from Greece and the host ASA Tel Aviv, and secured the participation in the second qualifying round. Mrs. Tina Krce, chargée d"affaires a.i., with the staff of the Croatian Embassy in Israel, attended the Mornar"s match with Galatasaray.
