A group of 11 experts from Croatian Education System – primary and secondary school principals (among them one member of Croatian Parliament Sabor), heads of regional education departments and agencies, and university professors, visited Israel, with an aim to get an insight into Israeli education system, in particular into the specific Israeli perspective of education as a system which encourages creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among its students. The Croatian delegation also had an opportunity to learn the Israeli way of work with talented pupils and students, as well as to get an insight into a specific way of educating future innovators and entrepreneurs from a very young age. During the visit the delegation had presentations at the Centre of Excellence Hemda in Tel Aviv, Centre for Nano-technology at the Bar-Ilan University, Start-up Entrepreneurship Centre StarTAU at the Tel Aviv University, and e-school/paper-free school Tichnet in Tel Aviv. The study visit to Israel was concluded by the visit of the whole delegation to the Embassy of Croatia in Tel Aviv. At all meetings the group was accompanied by Tina Krce, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Croatia to Israel.
