Ambassador Pjer šimunovic held lectures, Monday, 15 February 2016, at the "Israel Middle East Model United Nations Conference", at the Walworth Barbour American International School in Even Yehuda, dedicated to the collapse of Communism in Central and Eastern Europe, and the disintegration of the former Soviet Union and the former Yugoslavia. During the Conference, students have been simulating the UN Security Council deliberations, with the lectures given by, among others, Ambassador Samantha Power, the U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN, retired Major General Ya"acov Amidror, the former National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel, and Leena-Kaissa Mikkola, the Ambassador of Finland to Israel.
