Leading Croatian organist, Mr Edmund Andler-Boric, held a concert in the historical Saint Peter"s Church in Jaffa, on Monday, 23rd March. The concert was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Israel, in cooperation with the Custody of the Holy Land and the Franciscan Saint Peter"s Church in Jaffa. Maestro Andler-Boric performed classical compositions of "musica sacra", featuring notably the works of anonimus 18th Century Francisican composers from the Klanjec Monastery in Hrvatsko Zagorje. The concert was followed, in the cloister of the Monastery, by a cocktail reception for the public, consisting of foreign diplomats, Israeli guests as well as Franciscans, including Croatian Franciscans studying and serving in the Holy Land. During his visit to Israel, as a guest of the Israel Organ Association, Maestro Andler-Boric, director of the festival Organs of the Zagreb Cathedral, with several hundred international concerts, performed prominently in Haifa, at the Hecht Hall of the University of Haifa, and Jerusalem, in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
