One of the world"s leading travel related events Tourism EXPO Japan was held from 20 to 23 September 2018 in Tokyo. “New Forms of Tourism and Travel” was the theme of this year’s event organized by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association (JTTA), the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). At the Tourism EXPO Japan 2018, Croatia was represented by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, the šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board, the Lika-Senj County Tourist Board, Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the City of Zagreb Tourist Board. This still very relevant aspect of the tourist promotion has confirmed the continuation of a trend of growing interest for Croatia at this distant but important market throughout the year. The Croatian Embassy in Japan supported the participation of Croatian representatives at the Tourism Expo Japan 2018 and Ambassador Hrastic visited the Croatian stand during the event.
