A Tourist Media & Trade Workshop “The European Experience 2017” was held on 18 October 2017 at the premises of the Delegation of the European Union to Japan. Promoting Europe as a travel destination for Japanese tourists was the aim of this joint European tourism event focusing on Japanese travel trade and media. Croatia was one of 20 European countries that participated in the event as exhibitors, while 115 travel trade representatives (i.e. tour operators and travel agents) and more than 70 media representatives attended the workshop. Croatia was represented at the event by the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Japan. Japanese media and travel trade representatives have shown great interest in Croatia and Croatia’s touristic offer presented to them during one-on-one meetings held between the event’s exhibitors and attendees. Ambassador Hrastic attended the event and visited the Croatian stand at the event.
