Croatian Tourism was very successfully presented at several events held in Tokyo from 20-24 September 2017. Events were organized by the Croatian Tourist Board, tourist boards of šibensko- kninska and Licko-senjska Couty as well as Dubrovnik and Zagreb City. First event organized was the business workshop “Sell Croatia” directed to targeted audience such as tour operators, travel agencies and media. Air Carrier Turkish Airlines was partner at that event. Croatian tourism was also presented at the Japanese biggest tourist fair „Tourism Expo Japan 2017“ this year held under the motto “The Power of Travel”. A special exhibition aimed at promoting 20 beautiful roads/streets of Europe was one of the events offered to the visitors of the fair. The roads/streets were selected by JATA (Japanese Association of Travel Agents). Among those two routes going through Croatia. One of them is „Full of Istria Road“, that is going from Buje thorough inner Istria to Motovun and „Emerald Road“ that is starting from Plitvice National Park, most visited national Park in Croatia than passing through Bihac and Una National Park (in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and ending up in the Krka National Park, another breathtaking Croatian National Park in Central Dalmatia. The Croatian Embassy in Japan has supported and participated in above mentioned events.
