Croatian producers SMS, Kutjevo and Bristak participated on the 34. international food and beverage exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2009 held from 3rd until 6th of March in Makuhari Messe. Croatian companies exhibited Croatian vines, olive oil, different kinds of jams and spreads as well as marinated and salted anchovies to Japanese importers and companies for food and beverage industry.
Croatian producers SMS, Kutjevo and Bristak participated on the 34. international food and beverage exhibition FOODEX JAPAN 2009 held from 3rd until 6th of March in Makuhari Messe. Croatian companies exhibited Croatian vines, olive oil, different kinds of jams and spreads as well as marinated and salted anchovies to Japanese importers and companies for food and beverage industry.
According to preliminary data provided by Japan Management Association (JMA), the main organizer of this event, 78,538 persons from food and beverage industry, as well as related industries such as restaurants and hotels, visited the Foodex pavilion hall in four days. Croatian exhibitors had the chance to get a better understanding of needs and peculiarities of Japanese market, and to make many promising contacts with Japanese buyers. However, the fact that Japanese market is flooded with products from all over the world makes marketing new products extremely demanding task, and Croatian Embassy is here to help Croatian companies in breaking new ground.
