With regard to the global pandemic and high risk of coronavirus (COVID-19), and in an effort to help prevent the spread of the infection, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Consulates General of the Republic of Croatia in the United States are suspending all consular days until further notice. Correspondingly, as of Friday March 13, 2020 until further notice the Embassy and Consulates General (New York, Chicago and Los Angeles) will accept ONLY emergency cases of Croatian nationals (Laissez-passer for the Deceased and Emergency Travel Document for return to domicile country – Croatia) and EXCLUSIVELY upon prior announcement. Furthermore, those who will qualify under emergency terms will be asked to confirm the following: * have no symptoms of infection * have not resided in, or traveled from countries where quarantine has been mandated for the past 14 days * who have not been in contact with anyone having or suspected to have the coronavirus * are requested to bring their own ballpoint pens to fill in any forms in compliance with the recommended prevention measures. Appointments of all other non-urgent consular jobs, including all foreign nationals (e.g. visas and citizenship) are suspended until further notice. The Embassy and the Consulates General kindly ask all visitors to bring with them their own pens for filling out forms and to uphold recommended prevention measures.
