INSTRUCTION FOR OBTAINING A PROOF OR RESIDING AND WORKING IN THE US
(FOR THE PURPOSES OF CUSTOM CLEARANCE)
Please note all applications must be submitted in person and either in original or notarized copy.
Who can apply?
- Croatian citizens that stayed or worked abroad or
- Foreign citizens that received the permit of temporary or permanent residence in the Republic of Croatia from the authorized body of the state administration (Ministry of Internal Affairs)
Please submit the following:
- Completed and signed application (Zahtjev za izdavanje potvrde o boravku i radu)
- Croatian passport
- US ID (driver's license, passport...)
- Proof of residence in the USA for at least for 1 year prior to moving to Croatia (eg. income tax return issued by IRS, SSN Statement, letter from employer…)
- Proof of Residence in Croatia
This consular service comprises a consular fee of $82,00. For documents that need to be certified by the Embassy (eg. foreign passport) consular fee is $14,00 per document. Please note that payment is only possible by personal check or money order (payable to: "Embassy in Croatia").
Please note, custom clearance is obtained and issued at discretion of the custom clearance office in the place of residence in Croatia.
The period of 12 months for using the custom clearance starts from the date of moving to Croatia.
