Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the United States of America Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic presented February 26th 2009 in Mexico City her credentials to President of the United Mexican States Felipe Calderón, as the non-residential ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the United Mexican States.
After the presentation ceremony at the National Palace, Ambassador Grabar-Kitarovic and President Calderón talked about a comprehensive strengthening of the bilateral cooperation, namely in economy, culture, and tourism. Ambassador Grabar-Kitarovic noted the issue of cancelling visas for Croatian citizens, for which President Calderón had promised his personal support. They also discussed Croatia and Mexico's participation in the Security Council's activities, since both countries are currently its non-permanent members.
President Calderón congratulated Ambassador Grabar-Kitarovic, expressing hope that the successful cooperation between the Republic of Croatia and the United Mexican States would continue.
