The President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was on a State Visit to the Republic of Albania upon the invitation of the President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta. The State Visit has started with an official welcome ceremony and tete-a-tete meeting with Albanian President Meta. After that a bilateral meeting of two official delegations and press conference were held. On the second day of the visit, the President Grabar-Kitarovic held a meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama and President of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania Gramoz Ruçi, after which she addressed the Albanian Parliament. President Grabar-Kitarovic also visited a Port of Durrës, where she attended the presentation of a joint project of Croatia, Albania and UNDP: "Marine and Coastal Pollution Management for Enhanced Maritime Safety in Accordance with Maritime Laws and EU Policies". President also visited Berat, a city under the protection of UNESCO, where she was welcomed by Mayor Petrit Sinaj. On the last day of the visit to Albania, the President Grabar-Kitarovic participated in a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of national heroes at the "Mother Albania" monument, she met with Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj and visited the historic town of Kruja.
