The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Tirana has celebrated the Statehood Day and the 5th Anniversary of Croatia"s accession to the European Union on a reception hosted on 18 June 2018 at the Rogner Hotel. The reception was attended by 100 guests - including President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta, Apostolic Nuncio, diplomatic corps, ministers, deputy ministers and representatives of the Ministries, representatives of political and cultural life, the highest representatives of the Armed Forces, businessmen, journalists and Croats in Albania. After welcoming the President and distinguished guests, national anthems and anthem of the EU, the Ambassador Sanja Bujas-Juraga addressed the audience. The Ambassador spoke about the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, the high level bilateral meetings held in the first part of 2018 and the 5th Anniversary of Croatia"s EU membership. She also talked about the Albanian path towards the EU, supported by many of Croatian specialists, especially in the process of judicial reforms. The Statehood Day celebration program was enriched by displaying promotional tourist video materials about the beauties of the Republic of Croatia and guests were offered Croatian wines from the donation of šibenik"s "Vinoplod - Winery" and sweets donated by "Kraš Food Industry". Additionally, they got a numerous Croatian tourist and business brochures at their disposal which made them interested to visit Croatia.
