The EU Delegation and the Embassies of EU Member States in Albania, together with Municipality of Tirana, have prepared an "EU Village" on the main city square - Skanderbeg Square in Tirana, to celebrate the Europe Day on 9 May 2018. Pavilions of "EU Village" presented the diversity of EU involvement and support of EU for Albania. The EU member states represented their own countries and activities in Albania in the pavilions. Croatia exhibited brochures and other materials of Croatian Chamber of Commerce and of Croatian Tourist Board and visitors could also enjoy the great selection of Kraš products.
During the day, a numerous activities were held on the Skanderbeg Square, such as opening of the "Europe Tree Park" in which the Mayor of Tirana and EU Ambassadors took part and each EU member state got its own tree. An entertainment for children and pupils and providing the information dedicated to Europe in the "EU Speakers Corner" was organized too. In the evening, a musical program dedicated to the women of Albania was held.
