The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Tirana has celebrated the Statehood Day and the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Albania on a reception hosted on 8 June 2017 at the Rogner Hotel. The reception was attended by about 150 guests - representatives of political and cultural life, religious communities, businessmen, diplomatic corps, journalists and Croats in Albania. After welcoming the guests and national anthems sung by opera singer Vikena Kamenica, with piano accompaniment of Gent Shahini, the Ambassador Sanja Bujas-Juraga addressed the audience. In an introductory speech, the Ambassador spoke about the important events since the day of the establishment of diplomatic relations on 25 August 1992 and the opening of the Croatian Embassy in Tirana in 1994. After that, Minister of European Integration Klajda Gjosha addressed the guests and pointed out that the Republic of Albania and Republic of Croatia are caring for the good neighborly relations with an emphasis on European communion. The program of celebration was enriched by the additional performance of the above mentioned Albanian musicians, who performed two popular songs - Albanian, accompanied with promotional tourist video projection about the cultural heritage and beauties of the Republic of Albania and Croatian song as the final point of the program, accompanied with promotional video projection about the cultural heritage and beauties of the Republic of Croatia. The guests listened with a great attention to the music program and watched the video projections. Additionally, they got a numerous Croatian travel brochures at their disposal which made them interested to visit Croatia.
