Delegation of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, consisted of: Ms. Ermina Lekaj Prljaskaj, Member of the Croatian Parliament, Mr. Erik Fabijanic, President of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Assembly, Ms. Dorotea Pešic-Bukovac, President of the Rijeka City Council, Ms. Sniježana Papeš, Marketing Manager, Port of Rijeka Authority, Ms. Ana štefancic Modric, Senior Advisor for Protocol and International Cooperation, Mr. Gani Xharrahi, Chairman of the Council of the Albanian national minority in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, paid a working visit to Durres from 8 do 10 November 2016, organized by the Croatian Embassy in Tirana. The delegation had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Port of Durres, the Mayor of Durres Mr. Vangjushji Daka, President of the Region of Durres Mr. Roland Xhelilaj, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Durres Mr. Andrea Xhavar and with Permanent Representative of UNDP in Albania, Mr. Brian J. William and his co-workers.
President of the Chamber of Commerce of Durres Mr. Andrea Xhavara hold a presentation in which he presented the work of Chamber and investment opportunities in the new economic zone, the investment possibilities in the energy park of the size of 550 hectares and the tourism potentials in the areas of Gjiri and Lalzit. The meeting was attended by representatives of several Albanian companies from the field of recycling, collection and treatment of waste, who exchanged the contact details and experience with the Croatian company Metis d.o.o. At all the meetings, support for the opening of the ferry line between the Albanian and Croatian seaports for transportation of passengers and goods was expressed.
