The Delegation of the Croatian Parliament lead by the Vice-President of the Parliamentary Committee on Gender Equality Mrs Sanja Putica participated in the Annual Regional Conference of Female Members of Parliaments on Gender Equality held in Tirana 26-28 April 2016.
The focus of the Conference was on ways and means of strengthening the political participation of women on local levels and in the economy. Mrs Putica underlined the role of women in the democratization processes. She particularly stressed the responsibility of female members of Parliaments and the ones in leading business positions to contribute by their influence and through modification of legal frameworks to the improvement of the position of women in the society.
The Croatian Ambassador to Albania Mrs Sanja Bujas-Juraga took part in the plenary part of the Conference.
