The Croatian Embassy in Tirana has marked the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, on 1 July 2013, and the Croatian national holiday the Day of Statehood, by organizing a reception in the National Historic Museum in Tirana. After playing the anthems of Croatia, the EU and Albania, the invitees were addressed by the Croatian Ambassador Aleksander Stiepetic and the Head of the EU Delegation in Tirana Ambassador Ettore Sequi.
On the occasion of Croatia"s accession to the EU, Ambassador Stipetic also gave an interview to the only Albanian daily newspaper published in English the “Albanian Daily News” available here.
