Dr Ivan Grdešic, the Croatian Ambassador in the UK invited members of the Croatian diaspora for an informal gathering at the Embassy. The aim was to hear about their worries and anxieties in relation to the impending Brexit and it turned out to have been a good way to learn about their main preoccupations. The conversation covered a wide range of issues such as the legal status of the Croatian nationals after the UK leaves the EU; problems they are encountering when applying for a permanent residence in the UK, work permits, etc., and the ways that the Croatian Embassy can offer assistance to its nationals.
