The Croatian British Society (Split) and the Croatian Embassy hosted the Croatian Conservation Architect, Dr Goran Nikšic. Dr. Nikšic gave an illustrated lecture entitled " Diocletian"s Palace: re-interpretation of the original use and architecture". Dr. Nikšic introduced a whole new view of the Diocletian’s palace, explaining that it was first conceived as an imperial manufacturing centre for textiles and was only later adapted to serve as a residence of the retired emperor.
