The project “Dubrovnik – City of Festivals” organized, as part of the creativeCroatia festival by the Croatian Embassy in London, Dubrovnik Tourist Board and Honey-tongued Theatre Productions was presented to the representatives of the British tourist and culture media at St James Theatre in London. Cultural and tourist potentials of the city were presented by the director of the Dubrovnik tourist board Romana Vlašic and Ambassador Dr Ivan Grdešic who stated that Dubrovnik with every new tourist season has increased number of British visitors.
The 66th annual Dubrovnik Summer Festival, with more than 2000 artists performing in many music, drama, film and folklore enactments, will be launched on 10th July 2015 making Dubrovnik an open stage until 25th August.
Midsummer Scene Festival that will take place for the second time in a row, also returned to present their forthcoming programme which will run from 20th June until 4th July. This festival is the result of British - Croatian cooperation and this year will stage Shakespeare’s comedy “Twelfth Night” directed by Helen Tennison and produced by Filip Krenus. The comedy will be performed by many talented British theatre actors in Dubrovnik’s fortress Lovrijenac.
