The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs welcomes the Netherlands’ decision of 8 June 2018 to notify the European Commission that it will not continue using the option to further extend the transition period for restricting Croatian citizens’ access to the Dutch labour market.
The Croatian government will respond to this decision by lifting restrictions on Dutch workers.
The mutual enabling of the free flow of workers confirms the continued strengthening of mutual trust and represents an important incentive to the excellent economic and overall cooperation between the two countries.
