On September 11-13, 2017, the delegation of the Istria County and the City of Pula headed by the Istria County Prefect Valter Flego, Mayor of the City of Pula Boris Miletic and Director of the Istrian Development Agency Boris Sabatti visited Ireland. The visit was organized as part of the Technical Assistance project within the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020, which is financed by the ESIF.
Delegation held a series of meetings in Dublin and topics like EU funding for the capital and strategic projects, attracting investment, tourism and branding, city management, local and regional self - government and the economic and social council were discussed at the meetings.
The delegation met with the Ardmhéara Bhaile Átha Cliath / Lord Mayor of Dublin Mícheál MacDonncha and with the Chief Executive of the Dublin City Council Owen P Keegan. On their visit’s agenda was an exchange of the latest initiatives and topics concerning urban and regional policies. The delegation also held meetings with the representatives of the Association of Irish Local Government, representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Tourism and Sports, representatives of the Irish National Tourism Development Authority (Fáilte Ireland), representatives of the ESF Managing Authority, as well as with the representatives of the Irish National Economic and Social Council.
