The International Charity Bazaar (ICB) 2016 was held on Sunday 20th November in the Royal Dublin Society Industries Hall. Each year the ICB undertakes various initiatives aimed at raising funds for nominated Irish charities while promoting the cultural heritage of international communities in Ireland. The focus of the Charity Bazaar is to build and develop the relationship between the diplomatic and host communities in Ireland, recognizing all that is in common and celebrating the vibrant and multi-cultural dimension of the society. The ICB was organized by 50 Embassies accredited in Ireland. This year, the ICB has raised funds for different registered charities in Ireland devoted providing services to people living with different types of disabilities, providing care for the third age population, for the homeless women and those training the guide dogs for the blind.
The Croatian Embassy gave tribute to the event through cultural diplomacy by promoting Croatian culture, language and cuisine. Sabina Higgins, the First Lady, and Brendan Carr, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, supported the event by their presence at the Bazaar.
