On 24 May 2017, the Permanent Representative of Croatia to the UN, Ambassador Vladimir Drobnjak, deposited the Instrument of Ratification of the Paris Agreement with the Secretary-General of the United Nations. At the ceremony in the UN Headquarters, the instrument of ratification was submitted to Santiago Villalpando, Chief of the Treaty Section of the UN Office of Legal Affairs. The Paris Agreement will enter into force in respect to the Republic of Croatia 30 days after the deposit. The Croatian Parliament approved and confirmed the Paris Agreement on 17 March 2017 and the President of Croatia signed the Instrument of Ratification on 20 April 2017.
