First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic announced to the press in New York a special meeting on the role of women in post-conflict countries’ sustainable development, organized for tomorrow by Croatia. The panel discussion will see the attendance of foreign ministers of Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa and Croatia, head of the UN Women and four women entrepreneurs from Burma, South Africa, Afghanistan and Croatia, who launched their own projects in post-conflict societies.
Pusic commented on today’s speech by President Josipovic before the General Assembly, in which he “underlined a positive example of a country which in post-conflict circumstances is building a European identity and cooperating with other countries in the region, stimulating and assisting their transformation”.
The minister will hold several bilateral meetings 26 September. “This is a chance to talk with officials from countries we have rare opportunity to meet,” Pusic said.
