6 HRVCON in KFOR

The first part of the 6th Contingent was sent to the NATO KFOR (Kosovo Force) peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, on Sunday, December 5, for a period of four months. The sixth Contingent of the Croatian Armed Forces consists of 20 members of the Armed Forces, mainly from the Croatian Air Force and Air Defence with two transport helicopters Mi - 171Sh, and for the third time in the Croatian contingent in the KFOR peacekeeping operation in Kosovo, there is one woman, Sergeant of the Army, that will be engaged in logistics in NSE (National Support Element). The rest of the 6th Contingent will be sent to the area of operation in coming days. Commander of the 6th HRVCON in KFOR peacekeeping operation is Major Sasa Crnec. Sixth Croatian military contingent will be deployed in the area of Camp Bondsteel in Ferizaj / Urosevac. The fundamental task of the Croatian contingent is hauling people and cargo, and contingent is consisting of three helicopter crews, aircraft and technical team for maintenance, national support element, and two Mi-171Sh transport helicopters.
