Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman presented a certificate of appreciation and a plaque of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs to Senad Palić, President of the “Dobro Dobrim DoDo” Association, in recognition of the Association’s outstanding contribution to providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

At the ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, appreciation was expressed to the Association’s members, volunteers and numerous donors whose commitment has enabled the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian population affected by the war.

Since the outset of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the “Dobro Dobrim DoDo” Association has been organising the collection and delivery of humanitarian aid, including food, clothing and footwear, medicines, sanitary supplies, medical equipment and energy-related equipment. In cooperation with local partners, the Association also provides psychosocial support.

Minister Grlić Radman emphasised that the work of the “Dobro Dobrim DoDo” Association stands as a valuable example of Croatian solidarity, humanity and readiness to assist those most in need.

“Croatians have always been recognised for their solidarity, compassion and willingness to help those in need. Through its own experience of fighting for freedom and independence, Croatia has come to understand the importance of international support and solidarity. Today, having evolved from a recipient of assistance into a provider of assistance, we continue to support Ukraine and its citizens,” Grlić Radman said.

He added that Croatia’s support for Ukraine is reflected not only in the activities of state institutions, but also in the contributions of local communities, Croatian companies, entrepreneurs, civil society organisations and numerous individuals.

In recognition of his humanitarian work and support for Ukraine, Senad Palić, President of the “Dobro Dobrim DoDo” Association, received the Amber Heart award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, presented to him by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia, Vasyl Kyrylych.

On this occasion, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Croatia also presented certificates of appreciation to donors whose financial and in-kind contributions have supported the implementation of the Association’s activities, including the procurement of essential supplies and the organisation of humanitarian aid transport.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of numerous companies, organisations and institutions supporting the Association’s work, including Stjepan Adanić, President of the Management Board of JANAF; Anton Marušić, President of the Management Board of HEP Distribution System Operator; Vinko Vidjak, President of the Rotary Club Zagreb; Bishop Milan Stipić of the Križevci Eparchy; Nenad Krajačić, Director of Caritas of the Križevci Eparchy; as well as other donors and partners.

Senad Palić, President of the “Dobro Dobrim DoDo” Association, thanked all volunteers, partners and donors, stressing that only through joint efforts can continued assistance and support for the people of Ukraine be ensured.

The Republic of Croatia will continue to provide political, humanitarian and other forms of assistance to Ukraine and to support efforts aimed at preserving Ukraine’s freedom, independence and territorial integrity.
