Solemn marking of acceptance of the Republic of Croatia and Albania to NATO

On April 20, 2009, Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Albania, has solemnly celebrated the acceptance of two countries to NATO.

On April 20, 2009, Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Albania, has solemnly celebrated the acceptance of two countries to NATO. Around 150 guests gathered at the reception, among others around 15 Ambassadors were present, including the Ambassador of USA. Other NATO and EU member states were represented by Charge d' Affairs or Deputy Ambassadors. Also present were military attaches of most NATO and EU member states, as well as other countries, representatives of Turkish Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Presidents Office, Prime ministry and all corps of Turkish Army. Among representatives of Turkish Army were 4 3-star Generals, 4 lieutenant-generals, 5 Major-generals and dozen of higher officers. Also present was Hikmet Çetin, former NATO Secretary General's Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan, as well as representatives of Turkish media. During the reception Ambassadors of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Albania have held appropriate speeches.
