Vice Prime Minister Polančec on 11th Croatian-Turkish Business Council in Istanbul

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, Damir Polancec, participated on 11th Session of Croatian-Turkish Business Council on February 19 2009, in Istanbul, Turkey. The Council was organized by Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and Foreign Economics Relation Board (DEIK).

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, Damir Polancec, participated on 11th Session of Croatian-Turkish Business Council on February 19 2009, in Istanbul, Turkey. The Council was organized by Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and Foreign Economics Relation Board (DEIK). On this occasion Vice Prime Minister Polancec greeted present members of the Business Council and businesspeople, both from Croatia and Turkey. He stressed that the two countries have extremely good political relations, and that is confirmed by the fact that the two countries have signed 39 intergovernmental agreements. „I am particularly pleased that our companies, even in this challenging times, decide to open representative offices in Turkey, and see their business opportunities on this market", Vice Prime Minister Polancec said, and he emphasized the importance of Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Energy that was signed day before in Ankara. Among others Vice President Polancec stressed the possible cooperation in the field of shipbuilding, golf and sport tourism, road-transport – especially in cooperation of sea ports and railways in RO-RO and RO-LA transport, and many other fields. At the fringes of 11th Session, Vice Prime Minister Polancec meets with Nazim Ekren, Vice Prime Minister of Turkey. On this occasion both Vice Prime Ministers stressed excellent relations of two countries as is shown by big turnout of businesspeople from both countries at the 11th Session of Business Council. Vice Prime Minister also thanked for the support of Turkish Government for acceptance of Croatia to NATO.
