A Croatian government delegation led by Prime Minister Ivo Sanader arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for an official visit to Turkey.
A Croatian government delegation led by Prime Minister Ivo Sanader arrived in Ankara on Tuesday for an official visit to Turkey.
Sanader and Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan are scheduled to meet on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and ways of promoting economic ties. Also discussed will the two countries' aspirations to join the European Union.
"Friendly relations between Turkey and Croatia and ways of improving them will be the subject of talks between the two prime ministers," Erdogan's office announced in a statement.
During the visit, the two countries will sign several agreements, including a strategy to strengthen bilateral relations, a memorandum of understanding in energy cooperation, an agreement on environmental protection, an agreement on economic cooperation and an additional protocol amending the agreement on investment promotion and protection.
After Ankara, Prime Minister Sanader leaves for Paris to meet for talks with French Prime Minister Francois Fillon and President Nicolas Sarkozy on Thursday.
