The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ankara has celebrated their Statehood Day with a reception held on July 27th, 2007 in “Swiss” hotel. The reception was attended by 350 guest and few dozen journalists - which is the biggest number of guests marked in the last few years.
The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ankara has celebrated their Statehood Day with a reception held on July 27th, 2007 in “Swiss” hotel. The reception was attended by 350 guest and few dozen journalists - which is the biggest number of guests marked in the last few years.
Among others at the reception were present some of the former and acting Turkish dignitaries: H.E. Suleyman Demirel, ninth President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Hikmet Çetin, former high dignitary of Turkish government and high representative of NATO in Afghanistan, H.E. Ahmet Acet, Deputy Undersecretary for Europe with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and a whole range of dignitaries with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. From the representatives of Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey present were the representative of General Stuff of the Armed Forces and three representatives of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey with general ranks and one additional group of high ranking officers.
Among the diplomatic representatives present were Ambassadors or Charge d'Affairs of the USA, Russian Federation, European Commission, most of the EU member courtiers, neighboring and non-European countries and a high number of military attaches from Europe, USA, Russian Federation and other countries. There were also a few Croatian citizens that live in Turkey. A Croatian tourist stand was exhibited, and one tourist promotional movie was shown. Beside there was an appropriate exhibition of paintings by Marina Troy-Lelanovic.
