On May 19th and 20th, 2007, The Canadian-Croatian Folklore Association organized its annual folklore festival in both the Eastern and Western parts of Canada. Traditional Croatian music and dances were performed by dozens of cultural folklore groups in their rich traditional costumes. Both events drew a large audience of several hundred guests.

Mr. Slobodan Mikac, the Director of Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in Croatia and project leader Mr. Kristian Lesar held presentations for the Canadian Business Community, the Canadian Federal and Provincial Government as well as the Canadian? Croatian Community, on business and investment opportunities available in Croatia. The business seminars were held in Toronto on April 23rd, in Ottawa on April 24th, and in Montreal on April 25th. Mr. Mikac met with the Canadian Minister of International Trade, Hon. David Emerson, and Parliamentary Secretary for Canadian International Development Agency, Mr. Ted Menzies. He also attended a courtesy visit with the Speaker of the Senate, Hon. Noel Kinsella.

The Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ridge in France is the largest international monument dedicated to the Canadians who fought in the First World War (April 1917). It was built with stone taken from a quarry near Trogir, Croatia. A three year restoration of the monument was completed and re-opened on April 9th, 2007 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
