In the Sasaki Shipyard near Hiroshima, the Jadroplov Shipping Company took over the newly built LPG tanker Marko Marulić

On October 24, 2022, the Croatian shipping company Jadroplov Split took delivery of the newly built tanker “Marko Marulić” at the Sasaki Shipyard near Hiroshima. The ship is intended for the transport of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It is the sixth ship in the company's fleet and the first such ship under the Croatian flag. The capacity of the tanker is 7,500 cubic meters of compressed gas, it is 116.8 meters long, 19 meters wide and reaches an average speed of 13 knots. It is a technologically very advanced vessel with a very high fuel consumption efficiency. It was bought for 25 million dollars. The Jadroplov delegation at the takeover was led by the President of the Management Board, Captain Ivan Pavlović. Ambassador Dražen Hrastić was present at the taking over of the ship with his wife Blaženka, who at the request of the company, was the ship's godmother. The ship was blessed by Monsignor Fabrice Rivet, Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. of the Apostolic Nunciature in Japan.
