Croatian scientists took part in the “14th International Workshop on Ionizing Radiation Monitoring” in Oarai, Japan

The 14th International Workshop on Ionizing Radiation Monitoring was held on 8 - 9 December 2018 in Oarai, Japan. 224 participants from 18 countries attended the Workshop organised by Chiyoda Technol Corporation. Four representatives from Croatia (Ruder Boškovic Institute, Radiation Chemistry and Dosimetry Laboratory and Children Hospital Srebrnjak) actively participated in the Workshop with presentations in the field of dosimetry of ionizing radition. All four Croatian representatives also participated in the joint meeting on future collaboration and joint research held on 11 December 2018 at Chiyoda Technol’s headquarters in Tokyo. The Ruder Boškovic Institute (Radiation Chemistry and Dosimetry Laboratory) and Chiyoda Technol Corporation have been successfully cooperating in the field of dosimetry of ionizing radiation since 2007 and their cooperation is one of the best examples of collaboration between science and industry. Ambassador Dražen Hrastic attended the first day of the workshop and delivered a speech during the opening ceremony of the workshop.
