Ambassador Hrastić visited Mie Prefecture

Ambassador Hrstić visited Mia Prefecture where he met with Kenichi Suzuki, Mayor of Isa, and Keiko Hirota, Deputy Governor.

Mie Prefecture has a very strongly developed tourism industry. Ambassador proposed a cooperation in touristic promotion and exchange of experiences in the field of tourism. Both sides also expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of culture, education and economic exchange.

Meetings were also attended by prominent pianist Yoko Nishii, who lives in Mie Prefecture and have studied in Croatia. She is the first musician to record the entire piano opus of Dora Pejačević and held over 50 concerts throughout Croatia. Yoko Nishii has been promoting cultural cooperation between Croatia and Japan for many years.

Ambassador also visited Ise Jingu, the most important shrine of Shintoism and participated in a special ceremony to honor the sun goddess Amaterasu.
